Infrastructure updates in your own cloud

Deployments in your own cloud now apply infrastructure changes on their own. A release that adds, changes, or removes a frozen resource, like a bucket, rolls out like any other release, without rerunning initial setup.

In a customer's cloud, frozen resources stay with the customer's admin: a release that changes one waits for them to rerun initial setup. That split exists because the admin owns the account. In your own cloud, you are the admin, so initial setup grants Alien's management identity the rights to manage them too.

alien deploy --platform aws --automatic-setup

--automatic-setup grants these rights for a new deployment in your own AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure environment. A deployment set up without it keeps the manual behavior.
