Air-gapped sites
You can now deploy to air-gapped Kubernetes sites. Releases go in, and status and logs come back, in one folder the site's admin carries across the gap:
alien onboard customer-4 --platforms kubernetes --airgappedOn a machine that can reach your manager, the admin downloads the update. Inside the site, the same command applies it:
# online
alien-deploy sync --token <sync-token> --manager <manager-url>
# inside the site
alien-deploy sync --registry registry.internal/acme -f values.yaml \
--trusted-key ed25519:<bundle-key>sync verifies your manager's signature and every file's checksum, pushes the
images to the site's registry, installs the chart, and writes a report. Once
the report reaches your manager, the site's status and logs show up like any
other deployment's.
- Small updates: only image layers the site doesn't have yet
- Rollback:
alien-deploy rollbackreturns to the release before the last sync - Preview:
alien-deploy sync --dry-runshows what an update would change - Branded: the site's admin runs your CLI, like
acmectl sync - Sync status: the dashboard shows when each site last synced
